Packaging

The Nexus Clodius packaging comes in their distinctive nexus look. All black, with white and yellow accents. The case has a Styrofoam protection around the top and the bottom to keep the case intact during transport. The Clodius doesn’t have a shinny paint finish but the extra cover around the case is useful to prevent it from being scratched. Just mind your fingers once you removed all the packaging material, you’ll get a static shock.

The case itself is pretty light, it’s made essentially from rolled steel and the front bezel is made out of plastic.

The exterior

The Nexus Clodius has a calm presence. The design is subtle and it is function over looks. The side panels have numerous vents for excess heat, also included are two drive bay covers that swivel. They keep the look in line by hiding your drives. In most cases you only have one drive, but if you run two drives then the Clodius accommodates this very well by including two covers.

Not visible on the photo are the 12 thumbscrews. They reside on the lowest compartment of the drive bays. You can easily access them by removing the front bay cover.
