The GMC X7 X-Station’s look is somewhat different than most mainstream cases, I said that before and you will have to agree with me that the case has this look over it as if it came out of space. The front bezel has a bunch of features. On the very top you will find the power button. The drive bays are hidden by removable bay covers. The very first bay cover is aligned in front of your DVD drive. This way it masks most of the drive, except if you’re using a beige drive like me than it will look just as stupid as without the cover. But if you’re using a black drive then it might look pretty neat.

Moving further down to the bottom you will notice that there is another power button. Why GMC opted for adding two power buttons can be explained by the fact that if you have your system near you on the floor or next to you.

On the bottom right there are 4 usb ports. Normally a company would only add two of these but GMC decided they wanted to differentiate and go for 4 of these. The more the better! Also below the usb ports are two audio ports and a tiny reset button. The GMC X7 X-Station had no external eSATA port of any kind so you will have to route your external drive from the back of the system instead of plugging it in the front ports.

Some other features

  • Sidepanel Fan controller, with alarm if the fan stops
  • Room for a small lock on the back for the sidepanel
  • This case has two power buttons, on near the bottom and one on top
  • There is an LCD in the frontbezel for fan speeds and temperature

The front panel is easily removable if you require so. Every bay cover is removable, including the first one that covers your DVD drive. You can slide the drive in place and put the cover back on. Once you go near the bottom of the case you see this orange LCD. It’s kind of hard to see if the case is on the floor, so you really need to look at it from a straight angle to make the most of it. It shows the temperature by an included temperature sensor and it shows the fan speed of the fan on the side panel.
