Exterior
The M9D is a mid-sized tower available only in black and this version we are looking at comes with the 800rpm spinning 23cm fan in the side panel The window has the distinctive thermaltake logo engraved into it and the overall feeling and look of this case, from the outside represents quality and sleekness.
The front bezel is hidden behind the large door that hides the 9 bay spaces. The M9D came with a protective film over the window and the piano lacquered front bezel. This to prevent it from being scratched during transport. Taking a look at the top uncovers two lights, one for the hdd and the other being for the power. On the first picture you’ll see the chromed out buttons on the left, these are the power and reset buttons.
The M9D has room for up to nine 5 1/4″ drives and it has an ingenious system of mounting these, but more on that later when we inspect the inside. Each front plate also comes with a small dust filter to prevent dust from coming inside the computer.
