Inside
The Inside of the case looks a bit cramped, since the “Core Fans” rack obstructs most of the working space inside. These are basically two 120mm fans placed vertically just in front of the bay drives. Both fans are pointed towards the back, so it blows semi cold air over the bits and pieces on the motherboard. And hot air away from the hard drives down through the bottom back of the case. Tests by Madshrimps show that this significantly lowers the temperature of the processor and the videocard.
The drives are held in place by the quick locking mechanism. There is not a set name for these devices so I keep changing the name of them, but what they do is hold the drive in place by the plastic mechanism which basically clamps it down. It works great, but the plastic looks horrible in my opinion though, a coat of black paint would do wonders here.
The hard drives are put in place by two sliding brackets, one for each side. This saves you a lot of time fiddling around with screws and bits. The plastic also acts as a way to reduce the vibrations coming from the hard drives. The drive bay in the Freezing Storm can hold up to three 3 1/2 drives, another 2 of them can be mounted in the spot where you normally would install a floppy drive. But who uses these things nowadays?
