First Looks

The Sunbeamtech Freezing Storm is available in two different versions, one in black and the other in silver. Maybe a completely white paint job wouldn’t look too bad either. Some characteristics of this Freezing Storm are the three 120mm fans. The large window with extra holes for another 120mm fan. The sleek front and the i/o ports on the right side of the case.

The Freezing Storm has a very sleek look with every bit worked out to be exactly as it should be. But if only they could get rid of those ugly chrome plastic bits that hold the window together. A cleaner look on the window would just look a little bit better. Let’s continue and look what this case has to offer.

The Front

The front looks pretty clean with the lines across the front bay plates and the ventilation holes on the bottom. The front has a power and reset button both with a clear plastic surrounding where the led is illuminated when powered on. This case can hold up to five 5 1/4 bay drives, normally a mid sized case would only hold 4.

The side of the Freezing Storm has the i/o ports which feature two usb connections, an audio out and microphone input. The cover also shows that it should have had a fire wire port as well, but for some reason Sunbeam kept that out of the final design of the Freezing Storm. These front I/O ports are always a nice addition if you use USB a lot, or you want to plug in your headset with microphone.
