Performance

I used SiSoftsandra’s built in Burn in tool to stress the system and the idle temperature was measured during normal computer usage. All temperatures were measured using Speed fan. All these temperatures were measured with a room temperature of around 21 degrees Celsius. And the results are displayed in Celsius as well.

  • Intel Pentium E6300 with Arctic Silver 5
  • Asus P5B
  • 2x 1GB PC6000 CL4.0 HyperX
  • Sapphire X1950Pro with Arctic Silver Ceramic
  • 1x 74gb WD Raptor HDD
  • 1x NEC DVD Burner

Last time we looked at a cooler it was the Noctua NH-C12P which can be compared with the Enzotechnology Ultra-X. If you look at the results from the Contact-Cooler Freezer than you will see it performs pretty decent when you have the fan at max RPM. But having the fan at max RPM means a lot of noise. The cooler performs slightly better than the Coolscraper 120, which has a similar built as the CC Freezer. But the Sunbeamtech cooler is cheaper and comes with TX2 thermal compound.

Right, what does all this mean? Well for starters it’s the type of cooler that has a high rate of compatibility. Installation is very easy and it all just seems to work and go the way it should. Performance wise it’s nothing spectacular. Truth to be told, my e6300 isn’t exactly world shattering either, but keeping all aspects in mind, it’s a very decent cooler with a great value for money. It comes with a fanbus to keep noise down, the fan is noisy at high rpm but you could easily replace the fan for something quieter. It comes with TX2 thermal compound and did I mention it’s fairly cheap?

Final Verdict

  • Easy Installation
  • Fairly Cheap
  • Comes with TX2
  • Performance is pretty decent
  • Overall look is a bit dull
