The whole installation keeps you busy for a good solid hour before you can mount your hardware inside the chassis. This chassis is not for everyone, it doesn’t offer the practicality of a regular chassis. You also need to like these type of see through cases to begin with. The major drawback aside practicality issues are the wires and everything being exposed. You literally see everything, from dust to fingerprints and messy wire jobs especially. But it’s a great chassis to show off the hardware making the system work. Most of these types of cases are used at computer exhibitions by manufacturers to show case their hardware

Once you are done building the chassis, it’s time to mount your hardware. The whole reason behind a HTPC is to build a system that’s high end enough to deliver you with all the sound and video you need. It has to be quiet and shouldn’t consume too much power.
The hardware you use is restricted to the dimensions of this case. In order for me to showcase this chassis, I had to use my own hardware. And as you can see the Accelero S2 cooler on my video card is giving me problems with the height of the chassis. The cooler is too big and it won’t play nice with the power connector on my hard drive either. But if you are going to rig this HTPC with hardware, you would probably use a much smaller video card. Just keep an eye out for the dimensions before you purchase your hardware and you will be fine.
