Getting a good glimpse of what’s going on was particularly difficult for me to capture with the camera, hence the pictures all look a bit blue’ish. But I tried finding the right pictures to give you an idea of what the case looks like through the process of building it. You start off with the bottom panel where you place the motherboard standoffs and the side pieces to screw on the sides. Most of the panels are hold together by small thumbscrews and the hard drives cages are held together with bits that are flush with the panel to not stress the material. Acrylic has the tendency to break if stressed the wrong way. This is very noticeable when you try to drill through the material with the wrong drill bit; it will cut out a piece and snap the acrylic.

The Acrylic HTPC has four led fans that will make the entire case glow nicely; it will also provide sufficient cooling throughout the chassis to keep your hardware cool. Two of the fans are located at the front where it has the job to cool the hard drives. There are essentially three sides. There are two hard drives cages and one cage for 5 1/4″ drives and one 3 1/2″ drive. Just beneath the center cage are the power and reset buttons, two usb ports and 2 audio ports.
