Software
Razer included their own driver cd. Such a high resolution mouse needs these drivers because you are constantly switching between sensitivity. If you do not install the software, your left with a very responsive cursor. Sure you could turn it down in the mouse control panel but this doesn’t give you the ability to change it in game.

At first the Razer software looks promising but taking a closer look at it only shows that it allows you to add macro’s and some minor fine tuning to the dpi and common settings found in your mouse control panel anyway. There are no gaming templates or anything like Revoltec has, but instead it’s just offers the very basics. Which is a shame, since this is a mouse dedicated to hardcore gaming.

Final Words
Conclusion
Razer has added another fine addition to their already large variety of gaming mice. The Diamondback 3G had to prove itself to me since I wasn’t convinced this would be liked by me. But in the end i’ve been using it for weeks now and I don’t think i’ll be going back to anything I was using previously. The Razer Diamondback 3G feels solid, kinda rubberish. The feel and grip is great and it’s also comfortable without the need of a ergonomic design and whatnot. The buttons are somewhat hard to reach at first, the left two buttons can be used without too much trouble but the other to on the other side are a whole different story. In the end this mouse is lacking a better tweak ability through the software and a change of placement for the right side buttons.
