Packaging

Noctua always does a great job creating the packaging for all of their products. They use their distinctive brown and blue color scheme to set it apart from the rest. The NH-C12P is slightly visible through the see through plastic at the front, but apart from that it’s all covered by the box. The box itself has specs and feature son them everywhere including some images of the cooler.

If you spin it sideways than you’ll see the 6 main features of this cooler, such as the 6 heat pipes incorporated into its design to dissipate the heat more effectively. The new P12 fan that has cuts in the blades to minimize noise even further than their regular fans, but it also shows that this cooler uses their C-Type design, that it has high compatibility with their SecuFirm mounting system and to top things off they included their NT-H1 thermal compound. Which is far better than any of those standard silicone stuff other manufacturers include

Unpacking

The NH-C12P itself is securely in place in its own box. It has the 120mm fan on top and the other bits and pieces all resides in another box. There are two bags with mounting hardware. One for Intel’s 775 and one for Amd’s AM2 socket.

What comes included are the mounting hardware, a small booklet with the instructions (also available online here), two wires with resistors to tune down the fans, two mounting clips for the included 120mm fan and their own thermal compound.
