I tried these headphones with a variety of music, ranging from rock to classic and everything in between. The sound as I said didn’t sound as deep as with my normal Steelsound headphones. It wasn’t necessarily bad but it just didn’t feel impressive. It wasn’t as immerse as I wanted it to be. The rumble effect could be turned on and off and it does make your head shake about but it’s like it’s missing the beat by just a millisecond when the rumble is activated.

Once I tried a couple of games, it became evident that the 5.1 experience really depends on what game your playing, I saw some reviews complaining about the lack of sensitivity on what sounds you could hear or not. I saw Guru3d complain about the little things like water dripping which they couldn’t hear, or the lack of 5.1 effects in Call of duty. You need to fiddle with the equalizer to get things right, that’s for movies, music and games pretty evident.

You can adjust the settings in the control panel to either make the sound more darker and crispier, or you could increase the bass that enables the sub woofers to do their work even better and make the ear cups rumble like crazy. It’s entertaining, but I wouldn’t want to listen to music like that all the time, but it’s a nice feature that once you play a game, or watch an action filled movie really get’s the rumble going it’s just a personal preference what you like or not.

If you look at these headphones from an esthetics point of view than you’ll either like it, or hate it. That’s a matter of opinion and I personally think the look is ok, but the velvet is a bit too much. These headphones are pretty comfortable and they are just the right size. Cyber Snipa could have made them just an inch smaller so that they have more compatibility with smaller heads though. The sound is punchy with the “force feedback” subwoofers, but if you turn that on than the music, gaming of movies sound as if it’s muffled. The rumble effect is a nice feature, it surprised me how much it made my head shook! But despite all this looking at the price, it’s a great product and if your looking for something with a radical design, nice features and it supports 5.1 surround than look no further, but be prepared to take some time to tweak the settings to make them just right for you.

Final Verdict

  • The headset is pretty comfortable
  • The rumble effects are quite intense
  • The bass doesn’t sound as deep and punchy as I wanted to
  • Gaming effects and 5.1 experience needs to be tweaked by the equalizer and the way the “speakers” are positioned in the mixer.
  • Long wires, but would have liked to see an extension cord instead.
  • The sound control has lots of plastic and doesn’t look quality to me.
  • The sound and the microphone works great
  • The open grill design on the outside let’s lots of sound come through to the outside.
