The Headphones

The Cyber Snipa Sonar 5.1 are over your ear headphones with large ear cones that fit comfortably. Cyber Snipa did their pimp my ride thing on these headphones because the ear cones are covered in velvet! Nothing but the best to make them as comfortable as possible ;). The real advantage of these sort of headphones are the comfort, the bass that sounds much better and the noise cancellation.

The headphones fit perfect on my head and their just the right size. They could have been a bit smaller in height, maybe to suit some smaller heads. But the overall feeling of these headphones are quite alright. Although they don’t put too much pressure on your head, they do make your head feel a bit sore after using it for an hour or two. But that’s perfectly normal with these type of headphones. I get the same feeling with my Steelsound 5H v2 and those are used on a daily basis.

The design is either liked or you totally hate it The headphones have lots of plastic and the metal grille on the outside of each cone make them noisy from the outside. Which is a bad thing if your listening to noisy music and someone is a sleep in the room next door. They will definitely hear you.

The headphones are easily adjustable and the headband is also very flexible. Which adds to the comfort. The cones are flexible as well so they fit just right. If that’s not enough than the cones are also maneuverable to the inside. and to the top to fold them up. This way you could fold it up and protect the cones from damaging during transport. You’ll get an idea of what im talking about on the picture below.

The Sonar 5.1 comes with a flexible microphone, which can either be used or, put back vertically if your not using it. It’s not retractable so you can’t hide it entirely, but it’s flexible enough to match the curve of the headphone to keep it out of the way. The microphone is Uni-directional which means that the microphone is sensitive to sounds from only one direction. In this case you can point the microphone towards your mouth for optimum recording. The microphone worked well and they do a good job of filtering out the noise from the background.
