The entire front and top panel is covered in mesh. This not only looks cool, but it also acts as ventilation holes to let the heat go through. The mesh is very rigid and it gives the whole case a clean and cool looking finish. The CM690 includes extra ports that are located on the top of the case. It has two USB ports, two audio ports, a fire wire port and an eSATA port. Directly below the ports is the drive bay, a DVD player is in contact with the wiring from the ports but it doesn’t causes any problems

Some other features

  • Thumbscrews holding the sidepanels
  • Lock spacing on the back of the sidepanel
  • Two holes on the back for watercooling capabilities
  • Power and reset button are placed on the side for a cleaner look
  • An extra 80×15mm fan can be installed at the rear of motherboard tray
  • Front fan has a removable fan filter with a blue led 120mm fan.
