A closer look

The M603-CA is made from ordinary metal which makes it quite heavy, not as heavy as the Antec P180B but it’s far from light. There used to be a run on all aluminum cases a while ago, but it seems that people don’t feel the need for aluminum cases as an advantage over metal cases anymore. Sure it’s more practical if you moving the thing every once in a while. But for example the P180B, it’s heavy, it’s made from metal but has charisma. It looks great, it’s sturdy and resembles quality. I guess that’s a just as important factor.

The M603-CA is your average mid-tower in height and depth. It’s not very big and since there is no removable motherboard tray, it does make installation of your hardware a lil bit tricky. The M603-CA has some neat features like the extension of the front ports on top, the extra blowhole and vents on the side and the easy to access side panel.

The Codegen M603-CA comes with a temperature sensor to measure the inside of your case, or anything else you want to keep track of. The temperature is displayed in a small blue lcd in the front. It looks pretty cool. Beneath the LCD are 4 front ports that give you access to USB and sound. No fire wire port though, but uses that anyway nowadays?

The first slot of the front bezel also has a small door to cover up your nasty beige dvd player. But in my case I have a black HP dvd writer, but it looks a lot better if everything looks the same.
