Each front bay cover plate is held by thumbscrews, the two hard drive bays are held in place with the very same thumbscrews as well. Included with this case is a 5 1/4″ to 3 1/2″ bracket in case you need to use a floppy drive or something similar. Also included is a smaller sized bay cover plate to fill the gap. Also included are the bits and pieces to hold your hardware, some tie-wraps to hold your cables. Some are also present behind the motherboard tray, to route your cables.

The Antec Twelve Hundred supports regular ATX motherboard, micro and mini motherboards. It has plenty of room for full sized cards and the bottom part can house any regular power supply. Antec recommends a higher end power supply, especially if you’re using a higher end system. If you don’t want one from Antec then Be-Quiet is a good alternative as well

It’s important to have a clean looking case. You don’t want to look at messy cables when you look through the window and you don’t want to obstruct the airflow from the fans. The Antec Twelve Hundred has 5 gaps in the motherboard tray to route your cables. You have them coming from the bottom, towards the top of the case. This way you can plug them into your drives and your motherboard without having to see all those nasty wires. You eventually hold everything in place with the wire wraps. Antec included a bunch of them if you need more, otherwise you can use the ones that are already in place on the back.

This case has two removable harddrive trays, which each can hold up to three drives. The two bays have their own fan with a removable fan filter and a small rheostat to control the fan speed. This case has room for up to twelve drives, minus the 6 spots the two bays take up.

Final Words

  • Great attention to detail
  • Lots of space
  • Sufficient cooling
  • Fan control through rheostats
  • Quiet Fans
  • Very complete package
  • Harddrive mounting not in sliding brackets
  • No divider between mobo and psu section
