Exterior

The Antec Mini P180 has an all blacked out exterior with the distinctive front door that swivel all the way to the side panel (270 degrees). This way you won’t have to worry about breaking the door if you lean against it or you accidently hit it when you are inserting or removing drives. The Mini P180 is available in either black or white. You don’t see that many white cases but it’s a nice alternative to silver.

The Mini P180 has two separate levels. One for the motherboard area coupled with two hard drive cages and one for the power supply  along with two spots for 5 ¼ drives. This way the power supply resides in a separate chamber to isolate heat from the system and lower overall system noise. The Mini P180 has a 120mm fan on the back, along with two switches to control the speed of the two fans. And since this case only has room for a Micro-ATX motherboard, it has only 4 slots on the back.

It media front ports that make your life a whole lot easier. No more tugging around the cables on the back to find a spot for your usb drive. It comes stock on almost any case out there and so it does too on the Antec.

The Antec Mini P180 has a 200mm fan on the top, which is a common feature seen on many newer cases from all the different manufacturer. You can still see the protective foil on the side of the panel, which I removed shortly after taking the photo. Since the original P180 it was Antec’s main focus to deliver a case that could reduce the noise of your system but now with the 200mm fan in the Mini P180 it’s more focused on better cooling at the cost of extra noise. The fan is a tad noisier than the regular fans inside the Mini P180.
