MCW20 Chipset Waterblock

This is Swiftech’s latest waterblock, the all new round chipset waterblock that goes on all modern chipsets these days. It’s design doesn’t meet up with the rest of the waterblocks produced by Swiftech because it’s completely round, and it’s very small.

The copper base is lapped to 0.0003″ (3/10 of 1/1000″), and polished to near-mirror finish to promote optimum thermal conductivity. Users are advised that while flatness is strictly respected for providing the most significant benefit to thermal interface.

The MCW20 is probably MCW50’s little brother, it goes onto the chipset to achieve higher overclocks, and increased stability. None the less it removes the noise coming from that fan as well. The MCW20 is entirely round and it goes installed using a hold down with a spring attached to the pins at pentium 4 motherboards. Installation for amd motherboards is different by using bolts. Swiftech made sure that most modern chipsets are compatible with this chipset block. If your not sure if your chipset is compatible with the chipset
waterblock be sure to contact Swiftech.

Installation was as easy as brushing my teeth, installation of all the waterblocks provided in this liquid cooling kit was very very easy and straightforward.

“Important notification to users: due to the extreme variety existing among chipset retention mechanisms, as well as location of the chipset relative to the CPU and/or other components, Swiftech simply cannot keep track of all motherboard configurations, and guarantee compatibility. As a result, Swiftech’s customer service will respond to specific queries with respect to motherboard compatibility by referring users to this page. It is the responsibility of the user to determine compatibility based on the information provided below.”
