They move at thousand of revolutions per minute. Their whirring blades chop furiously at anything in their path. They cry for the blood of the user and the sheathing of your precious wires. They are fans. These merciless devices sit in your computer, blowing air throughout your case, waiting for that moment, when your finger gets to close, or a wire strays to near, and then they snap, turning into piranha like carnivores, biting into flesh and sheathing as if it were paper.

Okay, so they are not that vicious as I portray them. But most enthusiasts have experienced a fan blade hitting their finger, or cutting up the sheathing of a wire. Fan guards have been implemented in many systems, but they all have their faults. Some block the airflow too much, others are just plain ugly. In this review, we will be looking at a new sort of fangrill made by Extramod.com (http://www.extramod.com), and see just how well they work, look, and how well they thwart the evil plans of the fans to eat your flesh.
