Asetek had a cheap looking radiator in their earlier kits, but luckily for us they changed that, boy did they impressed me, they’ve added my all time favourite black ice pro radiator which rocks. The radiator has push fittings which makes installation a lot easier. These are top of the line radiators which will rock as far as cooling the water.

Along with the radiator comes a Sunon fan which is remarkably big, but extremely quiet ! it’s a 120 mm Low Noise Sunon Fan along with a fan header which goes into the control unit of the waterchill.

The Pump

Asetek had been using the Hydro pumps with their earlier kits, and once again it’s supplied with the updated waterchill, however the reservoir doesn’t come glued onto it like it did before. People might wanted to put the reservoir somewhere else for saving space but they couldn’t because it was glued onto it.. The 1200 l/hr L30 Hydor Pump with push on fittings is very quiet and easy to use, once again push on fittings which will enhance the installation progress. The pump comes connected to a control unit which provides the power for the pump, and the fan. And your able to add a led too!

The control unit has 3 connectors on it, one for the fan, one for an led, one for the floppy drive power cable to search for 12volts which will automatically switch the pump and the radiator on, and another
wire coming out of the back which goes connected to the passthrough connector for the 220volt plug. There is also a jumper on the control unit. You can change the fan speed from 7 volts or 12 volts, obviously 7volts is going to be alot quieter than powering the fan on 12volts, but does it lower the temperatures or not?
